Renata

Epidemiologist

Renata has a degree in Nutrition (2003) and a Master in Nutrition Epidemiology (2008) from Universidade de Brasília, Brazil. She started her career in Epidemiology/Public Health in 2009, as a fellow of the Brazilian Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP/EPISUS). After finishing the FEPT, she worked as Epidemiologist at the Department of Non-Communicable Diseases in the Ministry of Health, Brazil with the data analysis of National surveys.

She holds a Master degree in Biostatistics and in Methods in Epidemiology and Public Health from Hasselt University, Belgium. In 2017, she obtained her PhD in Demography from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. Her project focused on the impact of smoking on health expectancies in Belgium. After her PhD, she worked as consultant for the WHO with the data analysis of the Model Disability Survey. She is the Section Editor for the Methodology section in the Archives of Public Health. Her research focuses on survey methods, disability, smoking, non-communicable diseases and health expectancies.

Renata joined p95 as Epidemiologist in April 2021.
