Dafina Dobreva holds degrees in Medicine from the Trakia University in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria (1999), Master’s in public health from the University of Arizona in Tucson, USA (2005). From 2009 till 2011 she attended the EPIET – posted in Lisbon, Portugal, where she participated in legionnaire’s disease outbreak investigation and surveillance projects. Dafina has over five years experience in clinical trials – both as monitor and epidemiologist – in different companies including Quintiles, Ab-CRO and the Institute for Medical Research in Bulgaria. She has also served as epidemiologist on several HTA evaluation committees with the Bulgarian National Center for Public Health and Analyses (2015-2017). Recently she worked as epidemiologist at the Vaccine research unit of FISABIO, Valencia, coordinating bioethics (i-CONSENT) and vaccine safety projects (WHO GVS MCC), as well as participating in machine learning projects development jointly with the Polytechnical University of Valencia.

Since joining P95 in May 2020 Dafina has been involved in several vaccine-related projects including Streptococcus pneumoniae and Respiratory syncytial virus.
