Jozica Skufca holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and a Master of International Public Health (MIPH) from the University of New South Wales, Australia. 

Her professional path started with a pharmaceutical company in Slovenia and continued in the pharmaceutical unit of the European Commission in Belgium, working in close collaboration with the European Medicines Agency. 

Following the completion of a MIPH degree, she worked short-term in event-based surveillance in the Philippines and as a lecturer on infectious diseases in Colombia. 

In 2014, she embarked on a European Field Epidemiology Training (EPIET), based at the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) in Finland. During the EPIET she had the opportunity to join the WHO Ebola-team in Liberia, where she was involved also in a countrywide measles vaccination campaign. After EPIET she continued to work on a HPV vaccine safety study with the THL. Jozica joined P95 as epidemiologist in March 2018.
